Back in February, Davidson’s Classical Public Radio posted an interesting series of interpretations based on our recent exhibition, “Auguste Rodin: Truth Form Life”. Due to the closure of the gallery during the nationwide quarantine, we wanted to share this unique connection between art and music to continue the conversation about Rodin in our community and beyond. Several hosts and directors at WDAV chose pieces of classical music that most fit their personal interpretation of each sculpture, leading to an interesting crossroads of artistic and musical achievements. For those interested in the cultural developments of the 19th and early 20th centuries, including the monumental work of Rodin, this is certainly worth the read.
