With a growing curiosity for spirituality, Brooklyn-based artist Kymia Nawabi presents Lodestar, an exhibition of mixed media drawings depicting the artist’s invented mythology of characters, landscapes, and metaphors that speak to death, the afterlife, rebirth, souls and spirits.

Nawabi graduated with a BFA in drawing and painting from East Carolina University, Greenville, NC in 2003 and earned her MFA in drawing and painting from the University of Florida, Gainesville, FL in 2006.
